How This Consultant Lost 30 Pounds In 90 Days (While Gaining Strength And Drinking Beer)
Emmett went from 220 lbs at his sister’s wedding to 190 lbs at his brother’s wedding later that year - without fad diets or cardio. Here’s his story…
What was happening in your life before you started the program?
I had just failed yet another dieting and exercise goal. Not only had I failed it, I had put more weight on! I was working a lot of hours, not working out, not socializing or reading, and generally not working towards any goals as I had none. I was letting life drive me around, and it made me crazy.
What hesitations did you have about signing up?
I actually didn't have any hesitations. I was at the point where I needed something, anything to change my life.
What did you like best about working with Greg?
I had never had someone in my life before tell me it was okay that I had missed a goal. Greg's approach to it stunned me. I was used to being beat up for that and beating myself up for that. Taking logical, small adjustments to reduce friction without a big self-hating party made this so enjoyable. It was realistic, approachable, and fun.
What's the most important thing people should know about the program?
This isn't some fad diet workout plan. Greg takes a realistic, client-tailored approach. He works with you actively to achieve whatever results you want, and you'll change your mental state for the better on the way!
RESULTS AFTER 90 DAYS
What tangible results have you achieved?
Oh man where to start. I'm working towards applying to Grad School. I've only been able to take this on because Greg's mental game work helped me focus my mind and figure out how to get my priorities out front. It has all started with my daily habits. I've got a routine that I go through, and I know if I just do that routine I'll hit my goals. I don't have to worry about the big picture. I keep my eyes on my daily process goals, hit those, and sleep soundly knowing I've crushed my day. This has led me to lose 30 pounds in 90 days, increase my squat 20+ pounds, my bench 20+ pounds, and fix my desire and cravings around hunger.
What intangible results have you achieved?
Implementing Greg's program changed my life. I used to walk out of my door every morning, mind racing, feeling six steps behind. Getting the mental game right means waking up earlier, sure, but it also means I'm rested. I do my morning routine, take control of my day, and walk out of my door feeling like a million bucks. My friends and family have mentioned multiple times how I seem so much more at peace with myself, and they've even begun implementing some of Greg's tips in their lives! I've become a happy, in control, positive influence on those around me.
How else have you benefited?
My friends and family have seen a huge improvement in me. I hope that when I apply to grad schools they see who I've become. Also, eating right has for sure become easier. I'm not hungry all the time because I'm feeding my body the nutrients it needs. Hydration and eating clean has changed how I feel on a daily basis.
Would you recommend Enough Fitness? If so, to whom?
If it wasn't already clear, absolutely. I would recommend Enough Fitness to someone who is serious about making positive changes in their life. Frankly, I don't know anyone who's at that point. They all asked me if I did Whole30 or some other fad diet. They didn't want to know I had to change me.
Is there anything you would have liked to see done differently?
I have no complaints. I told myself at the beginning of this if it worked, it would be the best money I'd every spent. Well, here I am. I think perhaps the only recommendation I would have is push clients to video chat more. It's a great experience to get to do that and builds a great connection. I recommend it over calls.
What would you say to someone who is considering the program?
Greg has changed my life because I was open to approaching health and wellness differently than I have previously. If you're willing to be open minded, this will be great for you.
5 MONTH FOLLOW-UP
Note from Greg: 5 months after completing the 90 day coaching program, I reached out to Emmett. He was still meditating every day and had stayed within 5-6 pounds of what he weighed at the end of the 90 days.
In the past, yo-yo dieting would always make Emmett gain the weight back and start from scratch. He now uses a habit-based approach, the only approach that results in truly sustainable weight loss.
Around this same time, I got a text from Emmett saying that he had retaken the GMAT and gotten the score he needed.
